Q: Can I use my own GPS?
A: Yes, as long as it has Bluetooth or NMEA0183 output. If you want to use your GPS receiver with NMEA0183 output, you need to buy a cable from us at a cost of $35.

Q: Can I use my cell phone's built-in GPS?
A: Yes, BlueFlow Fuel Leisure works with the GPS in your cell phone.

Q: Will BlueFlow Fuel Leisure work on my 120 hp Yamaha 2-stroke gasoline engine?
A: Yes. We support most of the gasoline powered inboard and outboard engines as  long as you don't  have a fuel return to the fuel tank. We run our system on a Mercruiser V8 Big Block of 425 horses. If you're not sure, feel free to contact us at BlueFlow Americas.

Q: How low of a flow can your flow meter measure?
A: In normal circumstances, our flow meter for gasoline measures flows down to about 5 liters per hour. On a boat with more than 100 hp the flow measurements tends to get started at 5 knots. This varies on the engine type, engine size, boat size and so on. Our flow meter for diesel handles flows of less than 1 liter per hour.

Q: What phones are supported by BlueFlow Fuel Mobile?
A: We support most of the newer Sony Ericsson and Nokia. To ensure that Blue Flow Fuel Mobile works on your phone, contact us so you can download the trail version. We currently have no support for Windows Mobile but we are working on this and a version will be available shortly.

Q: Are there any other costs or do I need to subscribe to anything from my phone company to use BlueFlow Fuel Mobile? 
A. No. The system is fully autonomous so no contact with the mobile network is necessary.

Q: Can I use the system on several cell phones?
A: Yes. A license of BlueFlow Fuel Mobile allows installation on two different phones at once.

Q: Can I use it on multiple computers?
A: Yes. A license of BlueFlow Fuel allows installation on two different computers simultaneously.

Q: Can I run BlueFlow Fuel on my notebook PC?
A: Yes, any Bluetooth Equipped PC with Windows or a Mac with Mac OS X 10.5 will work.
If your PC or Mac doesn't have Bluetooth, we can provide you with an optional Bluetooth adapter with full compatibility.

Q: Can I use my Holux GPS with BlueFlow Fuel?
A: All Bluetooth GPS receivers on the market can be used for BlueFlow Fuel.

Q: Does BlueFlow Fuel work on both 2 and 4-stroke engines?
A: Yes, the system runs on both 2 and 4 stroke engines.

Q: Can I use my phone as usual when I run BlueFlow Fuel Mobile?
A: Yes, you can make and receive calls as usual.

Q: If I buy BlueFlow Fuel, how much carbon dioxide do I save the environment yearly?
A: If you consume 500 liters of gasoline per year and save about 20% of fuel using BlueFlow, about 100 liters. 1 liter of gasoline emits about 3 kg of carbon dioxide. This means that you save the environment, about 300 kg of carbon dioxide per year!
